We require a deposit of 25% of the total holiday cost, to secure your holiday dates. The remainder becomes due for payment six weeks before the start date of your holiday. Bookings made within six weeks of the holiday commencement date are required to be paid in full.
If your holiday is due to start within six weeks of the date of booking, the full amount is payable.
You can pay by cheque through the post, bank transfer/internet banking or credit/debit card via our online booking system – we are sorry we cannot take card payments over the phone.
Whilst we are unable to offer insurance, we strongly recommend that you obtain travel insurance to protect against any unavoidable cancellation due to accident, illness or other unforeseen circumstances. If you need to cancel your holiday, both parties should endeavour to re-let the accommodation. Should neither party succeed, the person who made the booking is legally liable to pay the full amount of the accommodation. In most cases this legal liability can be covered by insurance. If you have to cancel your holiday we will endeavour to re-let the accommodation. If we do re-let, the sums taken as payment can be returned, less an administration charge.
We have cots, highchairs, bed guards and stair gates available on request – all free of charge. Please note that cot linen is not provided.
Yes, well-behaved dogs are most welcome but only by prior arrangement. We accept pets in designated lodges only. We understand that your pet is part of the family and a holiday without him or her is simply not the same!
We charge £20 per week for each dog. However, please be aware that we have strict booking conditions relating to the acceptance of dogs to our lodges, and our contractual arrangements mean you must adhere to our conditions of booking.
We are able to assist with any special extras to make your celebration even more special, such as champagne and flowers. We can also recommend local restaurants. We also offer Forda gift vouchers for spa treatments or even for the whole holiday.

Yes. A couple of weeks before your stay we send out pre-arrival information, including directions. Full directions are also available on the Find Us page on this website. Please beware using your sat nav to find Forda – it may take you through some very narrow lanes and you may end up in the wrong place as our postcode covers a very large area.
On arrival, there is no need to come to Reception. Your accommodation will be unlocked with the key inside on the dining table.
You may gain access to the accommodation anytime from 3pm for the Barn and Stables, and 4pm for all other properties. Please do not arrive earlier as your accommodation may not be ready. On your day of departure, please leave by 9am. Earlier arrival or later checkout is sometimes possible for short breaks or out of season holidays, if we are not fully booked. This would need to be agreed in advance.
No, our rates are fully inclusive of all electricity, heating and hot water. We do, however, reserve the right to request payment to cover any excessive consumption of services and utilities and also of central heating during the summer months.
Your beds will be made up for your arrival. Although we will provide you with towels (and tea towels) for use in the lodges & cottages, you will need to bring your own towels for use in the swimming pool, on the beach, etc.
Yes, we offer a linen change at the end of every week (if you are staying for more than a week) free of charge. Should you require a linen change half way through the week, we can usually offer you one at a small extra charge of £5 per bed.
Not to worry – we live on site, and we will try and see to the problem asap! In the event of nobody being on site, we will provide an emergency phone number that you can contact us on.
Smoking is not permitted in any building on our site, including the lodges and cottages.
